Job summary

One Construction Group Ltd is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our highways and infrastructure team. The role offers a flexible, hybrid working model with a mix of home-based and site-based work across Areas of operation.

You will oversee commercial delivery, cost control and client relationships on major highways and infrastructure projects, ensuring successful commercial performance and proactive risk management.

Qualifications

• Experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in civil engineering, highways or infrastructure.
• Experience managing the commercial aspects of projects and taking ownership.
• Able to work independently and manage stakeholders in a flexible, forward‑thinking environment.

Responsibilities

• Take commercial responsibility for projects from start to finish.
• Manage cost control, forecasting and reporting.
• Handle subcontract procurement and management.
• Prepare valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
• Manage variations, change and commercial risk.
• Provide commercial guidance to project teams.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you'll take commercial responsibility for your projects, working closely with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners to ensure successful commercial delivery.

• Cost control, forecasting and reporting
• Subcontract procurement and management
• Valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
• Managing variations, change and commercial risk
