Job summary

FINTEC recruit Ltd in Lancashire is seeking a permanent Quantity Surveyor with experience in NEC3 and NEC4 contracts to drive commercial success on engineering projects. You will manage contracts from concept through delivery, liaise with internal teams to mitigate risks, and lead on variations, claims and negotiations.

The role requires a degree in a relevant subject or significant quantity surveying experience, with exposure to infrastructure/ civil markets.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Quantity Surveyor role in engineering/infrastructure/construction/civil markets or similar.
• Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject – e.g. Quantity Surveying, Finance, Commercial Management, Construction Management.
• Candidates with relevant experience without a degree qualification will be considered where there is 5 years+ quantity surveying experience in relevant industries.

Responsibilities

• Involved in commercial success for projects for contract management and implementation of NEC3 | NEC4 framework contracts
• Manage commercially from concept through to delivery for engineering projects and liaise with internal teams to mitigate contractual risks and resolve any disputes
• Ensuring compliance, contract provisions, project delivery requirements are all in place
• To undertake and lead on preparation, assessments, valuation, and negotiation of variations, claims, and compensation required
• Monitoring performance preparing and delivering reports for Senior Management
• Promote continuous improvement in commercial processes, especially around NEC and similar contract framework administration
• Provide coaching and mentorship where beneficial within the team and staff development plans
