This includes preparing commercial reports, managing contracts, supporting risk mitigation, and ensuring project profitability.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, you will play a vital role in the effective financial oversight of high-value precast façade schemes and will work collaboratively with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to maintain cost control, contractual compliance, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all commercial functions from pre-contract to final account.

  • Conduct cost analysis and ensure alignment with project budgets and forecasts.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure commercial data is documented and reportable.
  • Liaise with supply chain partners to manage contract terms, performance, and payments.
  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and 3D models to quantify and analyse works.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Construction Contracts Act.

About You

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction or specialist subcontracting.
  • In-depth understanding of various construction contracts and commercial frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in cost control, reporting, and procurement.
  • Capable of interpreting technical documentation including drawings, specifications, and BIM models.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and commercial reporting tools.

Qualifications

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a relevant discipline.
  • Chartered or working towards professional membership with RICS, CIOB, or equivalent (preferred).
  • Knowledge of the Construction Contracts Act and associated legal frameworks.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • A chance to join a reputable and growing specialist contractor.
  • Opportunity to work on technically challenging and high-profile construction projects.
  • Supportive working culture with clear career development pathways.
