Navartis Ltd. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join our pre-construction and commercial teams in Brandesburton, East Riding of Yorkshire. You will review contracts, advise on commercial strategy, and help drive favourable payment terms across bids and projects.

The role requires up to 5 years in a pre-construction or commercial QS position, with experience in modular construction or offsite manufacturing. Excellent communication is essential, with multibid deadlines to manage.

Qualifikationen

• Strong understanding of construction contracts (JCT, NEC, or bespoke forms).
• Degree Quantity Surveying desirable.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Up to 5 years' experience in a pre-construction or commercial QS role, ideally within modular construction or offsite manufacturing (1-2 Minimum).
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Aufgaben

• Review and interpret client contracts, specifications, and tender documentation, identifying key commercial risks and obligations.
• Provide commercial and contractual advice to the pre-construction, design, and project teams.
• Lead or support negotiation of contract terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with company risk profile and policies.
• Work with the Head of Commercial to produce and agree payment terms / cash flows for all bids / successful projects, to ensure payment terms by project are favourable / suitable to forecasted cash flow.
• Support development of procurement and subcontract strategies, ensuring fair and transparent commercial terms.
• Where additional support is needed for the more complex bid review / scope gap analysis, work with Head of Preconstruction to ensure process followed and input from wider team.
• Attend prestart meetings to support the sales team on all projects contractually and commercially.
• Support continuous improvement in pre-construction commercial processes and documentation.

Summary

One of the UK's leading offsite construction companies specialising in the design and delivery of purpose-built modular solutions for sites and applications across the UK is looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Brandesburton, East Riding of Yorkshire to provide surveying capability to the Commercial Team on a variety of modular build projects

Quantity Surveyor Accountabilities

• Review and interpret client contracts, specifications, and tender documentation, identifying key commercial risks and obligations.
• Provide commercial and contractual advice to the pre-construction, design, and project teams.
• Lead or support negotiation of contract terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with company risk profile and policies.
• Working with the Head of Commercial to produce and agree payment terms / cash flows for all bids / successful projects, to ensure payment terms by project are favourable / suitable to PMLs forecasted cash flow at time of bid.
• Support the development of procurement and subcontract strategies, ensuring fair and transparent commercial terms.
• Where additional support Is needed for the more complex bid review / scope gap analysis, working directly with the Head of Preconstruction, ensure the complex project process is followed and wider team engagement is achieved to support input, prior to final bids.
• Attend prestart meetings where necessary, to support the sales team on all projects contractually and commercially.
• Support continuous improvement in pre-construction commercial processes and documentation.

Salary: Between £55,000 - £67.000 dependant on level of expertise plus 25 days holidays, very competitive pension scheme, company incentive scheme and more
