Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a Sheffield-based multi-disciplinary consultancy delivering Building Surveying and Project Management across sectors.

You will manage cost and commercial aspects on refurbishment, extension, conversion and new build projects, typically valued up to £5 million, with a focus on delivering value from inception to final accounts.

Qualifications

• MRICS is essential and a professional Quantity Surveyor with recognised chartership.
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a consultancy environment.
• Strong pre- and post-contract experience.
• Experience across refurbishment, extension and/or new build projects.
• Excellent cost management and commercial awareness.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.
• Confident, client-facing professional able to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide Quantity Surveying and cost management across a range of projects.
• Prepare cost plans, budgets and estimates.
• Advise clients on project costs and financial implications.
• Prepare tender documentation and support procurement.
• Analyse tenders and prepare tender reports.

Quantity Surveyor

A growing multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Sheffield is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding team. The consultancy delivers Building Surveying and Project Management services across the commercial, education, healthcare and public sectors.

The successful candidate will work across a diverse portfolio of refurbishment, extension, conversion and new build projects, predominantly valued between £0 - £5 million and located within approximately one hour of Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for a Chartered Quantity Surveyor looking to join a growing consultancy with genuine long-term career progression.

Quantity Surveyor Salary & Benefits:

Quantity Surveyor Job Overview:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will provide cost and commercial management across a range of refurbishment, extension, conversion and new build projects. You will work closely with clients, contractors and the wider consultancy team, providing cost advice throughout the project lifecycle and ensuring projects are effectively managed from a financial and commercial perspective.

Quantity Surveyor Job Requirements:

• MRICS is essential

• Previous Quantity Surveying experience within a consultancy environment
• Strong pre and post-contract experience
• Experience across refurbishment, extension and/or new build projects
• Strong understanding of procurement and tendering
• Excellent cost management and commercial awareness
• Strong report writing and communication skills
• Confident client-facing professional
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Full UK Driving Licence
