About the Client

The Client provides complete "turnkey" projects, mechanical engineering services, and process technologies to the water and wastewater, utilities, food and beverage, power, and industrial process industries. They are centrally located in the Bedford area of the UK, where the fabrication workshop and engineering design office are situated.

Role Responsibilities

Working as part of the projects team, your main responsibilities will include collaborating with the Commercial Manager and Project Managers to manage project costs and value, ensuring successful project delivery.

Specific duties include:

• Recording site works for monthly applications, including assessing and agreeing applications from key subcontractors
• Cost recording and forecast updates

Key Responsibilities

• Procure and administer sub-contract packages with support from the Commercial/Contracts Manager and Project Managers
• Maintain project forecasts
• Prepare measurement records for sub-contract works
• Update costs regularly
• Assist Project Managers with cost and value reporting
• Support the project team in managing contract requirements and notifications
• Assist the Commercial Manager and Finance Manager with cash flow management and reporting
• Monitor project performance against budget and report variances to Project Managers and the Commercial Manager
• Share commercial learnings across the business to improve performance and reduce errors

Qualifications and Experience

• Full driving license
• Experience within a Contractor's organization; experience in a MEICA contracting organization is desirable but not essential
• Knowledge of NEC 3 & 4 contract conditions
