Job summary

Reinforced Recruitment is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a Borehamwood-based specialist joinery and carpentry contractor. You will own the commercial lifecycle of projects, from cost planning through final account, managing costs and ensuring robust financial control across live schemes.

This full-time, office-based role offers exposure to varied residential and commercial projects, with a supportive team and clear path for career development within a growing construction group.

Qualifications

  • 3–4 years' Quantity Surveying experience within a construction environment.
  • Strong experience in cost control and cost management.
  • Ability to prepare and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
  • Experience in cost planning and cost reporting.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant cost management software.
  • Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Own the full commercial lifecycle of projects from cost planning to final account.
  • Manage project costs and ensure robust financial control.

Location: Borehamwood, Hertfordshire

Working Pattern: Full-time, Office-Based (5 Days per Week)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist joinery and carpentry contractor based in Borehamwood. This role offers genuine ownership across the full commercial lifecycle of projects, from early cost planning through to final account. You will take responsibility for managing project costs, ensuring robust financial control, and supporting the successful delivery of multiple live schemes. You will work closely with operational and site teams in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and commercial awareness are key.
