Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s commercial team in the North East of Scotland, covering Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire. This full-time, permanent role offers exposure to infrastructure, utilities and civil projects, with a supportive management team and clear career progression.

You will oversee commercial management across multiple projects, prepare CVRs, handle payment applications, and manage subcontractor accounts and final accounts,

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness is essential.
• Experience managing subcontractors and project costs.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of multiple projects across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
• Prepare monthly cost and value reports (CVRs).
• Submit applications for payment and manage project valuations.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, variations and final accounts.
• Monitor project performance, cash flow and profitability.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate with clients, operational teams and stakeholders to ensure delivery.

Quantity Surveyor

Aberdeen & Aberdeenshire | Full Time | Permanent

An established and growing civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team in the North East of Scotland.

Working across a range of infrastructure, utilities and civil engineering projects, you will play a key role in ensuring commercial success from project award through to final account. This position offers excellent exposure to varied projects, a supportive management team and opportunities for further career development.

The Role

• Commercial management of multiple projects across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire
• Preparation of monthly cost and value reports (CVRs)
• Submission of applications for payment and management of project valuations
• Management of subcontractor accounts, variations and final accounts
• Monitoring project performance, cash flow and profitability
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
• Liaising with clients, operational teams and key stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery

About You

• Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness
• Experience managing subcontractors and project costs
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Full UK driving licenceDesirable
