Advance TRS is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major infrastructure project in Aberdeen. The role is a temporary position to bridge a resource gap during a critical pre-construction phase, with construction planned to start on 1 October.
You will lead commercial management of civil works and large subcontract packages, ensuring performance against contracts, budget, and schedule while engaging with senior stakeholders.
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major infrastructure project in the Aberdeen.
This is a temporary position designed to provide additional commercial support during an important stage of the project. The role will initially bridge a resource gap while a permanent, full-time member of staff is recruited later in the project.
The successful candidate will join the project during the pre-construction phase, with construction scheduled to commence on 1 October. This is a good opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong civil engineering background to become involved before the main construction works get underway and take ownership of significant subcontract packages from the outset.
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will have a strong focus on the commercial management of the project's civil works and major subcontract packages.
The role will involve taking responsibility for significant packages, ensuring that commercial performance is effectively managed from procurement and contract award through to completion. You will work closely with the wider project, commercial and site teams to ensure that subcontractors are performing against their contractual obligations and that commercial risks are identified and managed at an early stage.

Given the size and value of these packages, previous experience managing large subcontractors is essential. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working in a commercially demanding environment and dealing confidently with subcontractors, project teams and senior stakeholders.
A strong understanding of NEC3 Option A is required, particularly in relation to subcontract administration, change management, commercial reporting and contractual processes.
Experience using CEAR for subcontract administration would be highly advantageous.
