Job summary

Maven - Trading and Portfolio Management is seeking a data analytics professional to develop scalable Python tools for portfolio insights and to perform rigorous quantitative research on trading strategies. You will collaborate with Portfolio Managers and the Investment Committee to inform decisions and optimise performance.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in hedge funds or prop trading, strong Python and SQL skills, and a keen eye for numerical detail.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in hedge funds, prop trading, or quantitative asset management.
• Strong Python for data analysis and simulation; SQL knowledge is essential.
• Deep understanding of trade lifecycle and buy-side strategies (e.g., Relative Value, Stat Arb).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced analytics infrastructure using scalable Python libraries.
• Conduct quantitative strategy research on trade and portfolio data.
• Improve returns by identifying inefficiencies and optimisation areas.
• Highlight trading risks and opportunities across strategies.
• Support strategy development and PM onboarding.
