Job summary

Maven is expanding its Quantitative Positional Trading Team and seeks a Trading Analyst to join a fast‑growing desk that trades global options, focusing on fair value, portfolio construction, and alpha performance evaluation.

You will research and improve strategies, build scalable infrastructure, and attribute desk performance while collaborating with traders to prototype ideas and test hypotheses. Strong Python/SQL skills and production‑level system experience are required.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL.
• Strong communication skills.
• Interest in financial markets and derivatives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and backtests on alphas across volatility surfaces.
• Analyze PnL attribution, market dynamics, and volatility changes.
• Prototype ideas with traders and test hypotheses.
• Own desk infrastructure and ensure trading systems run nearly 23 hours.
• Balance architecture with rapid iteration and build dashboards for analysis.
