Job summary

Yeo Valley Group is seeking a Quality Technologist for the Crewkerne site to lead quality excellence across the business. You will deliver projects, implement improvements and develop systems that enable data‑driven decisions while ensuring products stay safe, legal and meet customer expectations.

Key responsibilities include coaching teams on food safety, maintaining processes, supporting audits and product trials, and driving improvements through data analysis and traceability activities.

Qualifications

• Must have strong attention to detail and accurate data handling.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills for cross‑functional teams.
• HACCP & Food Safety Level 3 certification is required.
• Solid IT literacy across standard office and QA tools.
• Internal audit qualification preferred or relevant audit experience.
• Good understanding of food processing parameters and controls is essential.

Responsibilities

• Act as a food safety and quality champion across the site.
• Coach and support teams on food safety, quality standards and due diligence.
• Develop, implement and maintain processes, procedures and controls.
• Support product trials and site quality assurance updates.
• Analyze quality and production data to identify trends and risks.
• Investigate customer complaints and drive effective resolutions.
• Support traceability exercises and audit activities.
• Help develop and improve digital quality systems (paperless, iAuditor).
• Monitor and report on site quality KPIs to drive improvement.
• Deputise for the Quality Systems Manager when required.

We're now looking for a Quality Technologist to join our Crewkerne site and play a key role in driving quality excellence across the business. As a Quality Technologist, you'll support the business in delivering projects, implementing improvements, and developing systems that enable data-led decision making. Working across multiple departments, you'll help ensure our products remain safe, legal and consistently meet customer and consumer expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as a food safety and quality champion across the site
• Coaching and supporting teams on food safety, quality standards and due diligence requirements
• Developing, implementing and maintaining processes, procedures and controls that uphold company standards
• Supporting product trials and site quality assurance updates
• Analysing quality and production data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement
• Investigating customer complaints, identifying root causes and driving effective resolutions
• Supporting traceability exercises and audit activities
• Helping develop and improve digital quality systems, including paperless systems and iAuditor
• Monitoring and reporting on site quality KPIs to drive continuous improvement
• Deputising for the Quality Systems Manager when required
