Job summary

Matthew James Group Ltd is seeking a hands-on Quality Technician to join a busy manufacturing and engineering environment in Gloucester. The role focuses on investigating quality issues, performing shop-floor inspections and audits, and driving continuous improvement on processes and documentation.

You will work closely with production to resolve issues, implement corrective actions, and ensure ISO 9001 compliance across the site.

Qualifications

We are looking for a hands-on Quality Technician to join a busy manufacturing and engineering environment in Gloucester. This role would suit someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, solving problems and improving the way things are done.

The business is constantly evolving, so you’ll need to be adaptable, comfortable with changing priorities and confident introducing new processes to improve quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities of the Quality Technician

• Investigate quality issues, manage NCRs and ensure corrective actions are completed.

What is expected from the successful Quality Technician

• A practical, hands-on approach with the confidence to challenge existing processes and introduce improvements.
• Adaptable and organised, able to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail.

Experience with ERP systems and an Internal Auditor qualification would be advantageous.
