Job Description:

If you are experienced in quality systems and food safety compliance within the food and drinks industry, with an meticulous eye for detail and a passion for upholding high standards in food safety and audit readiness - this could be the ideal role for you.

You'll be working with a respected and fast-paced business in the food and drink sector, known for their commitment to delivering high-quality products and maintaining strong customer partnerships.

They're now seeking a Quality Systems Co-Ordinator to join their technical team and play a key role in maintaining and developing their compliance processes.

A key member of the technical team, you will take day-to-day responsibility for managing the site’s technical compliance documentation and ensuring all systems are audit-ready at all times. This role is central to keeping quality processes robust, accurate, and aligned with both internal standards and customer expectations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and updating the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure ongoing compliance across the site.
  • Ensuring that all documentation linked to accreditations and customer standards is accurate, current, and well organised.
  • Coordinating internal audits and supporting external audits as part of the wider compliance calendar.
  • Managing supplier and grower due diligence records, ensuring information is tracked and up to date throughout the production cycle.
  • Liaising with teams across operations, growing, packaging and commercial to ensure consistent compliance across departments.
  • Supporting the delivery of technical and quality-related training where required.
  • Assisting the Senior Technical Manager on ongoing compliance projects and initiatives.

You’ll need to demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in a compliance, technical, or quality-focused role within the food and drink industry – ideally with fresh or chilled products.
  • Strong understanding of third-party audit frameworks and customer-specific standards.
  • Familiarity with managing document control systems and QMS platforms.
  • Good working knowledge of retailer requirements and online specification systems.
  • Confident use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and database tools.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.

Desirable (but not essential):

  • HACCP training (ideally to intermediate level).
  • Internal audit experience or training.
  • Exposure to managing quality across both site-based and grower operations.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative and quality-driven team in a business where compliance and continuous improvement are taken seriously.
