Are you experienced in quality engineering centred around quality control and continuous improvement? As a Quality Surveillance and Improvement Engineer you will be required to focus on supporting and enhancing the quality of work on-site through mentoring, training, and surveillance.
Bouygues Travaux Publics (TP) and Laing O'Rourke, two of Europe's most dynamic engineering and construction specialists, are working together in a joint venture named BYLOR to deliver the main civil engineering works at Hinkley Point C (HPC) worth over £2.8 billion. Bylor are pushing the boundaries of innovation and modern technology while delivering high quality construction on a massive scale. Bylor have already broken the UK record for the largest continuous concrete pour of 9,000m3 of concrete. This is great opportunity to be part of a dynamic organisation that is challenging the industry and making history.
As you will be a key stakeholder in all quality related activities in the main civil works package this role will be full time and site based, you will need to interact daily with site delivery teams and with the client organisation.
As a Quality Surveillance and Improvement Engineer you will be also required to Complete surveillance in targeted areas identifying where support is required to site personnel. Ensuring Quality Control is implemented, maintained, and improved within these areas and engaging in initiatives that lead to the successful sustained improvement of quality systems and product delivery.
Additionally, you will be required to carry out surveillance on activities deemed high risked such as Post Tensioning, Active Anchorage and Halfen Channel installation and precast and prefabricated works, ensuring all Processes and Quality Control measures are adhered to.
This role is key to maintaining the Company's reputation for high quality works and a high level of collaboration, vigilance and dedication is crucial to the success of this position. The role involves being a proactive member of the “Joint Quality Improvement team (JQIT)” led by the client organisation.

All positions with Bylor are employed directly with either Laing O'Rourke or Bouygues Travaux Public and include competitive salaries, private medical insurance, company pension schemes and annual holiday allowance. Some grades will also include a company car allowance.
