Mission Description

Are you interested in working at the intersection of aerospace innovation and passenger experience? Safran Seats, an award-winning designer and manufacturer of First and Business Class seating and technology, is looking for a Project Engineer. In this role, you will provide technical support, collaborate on work packages, and manage projects within our Engineering team, primarily based in the UK at Cwmbran, Newport, and Brackley. Your responsibilities include supporting product development, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring compliance with aircraft certification standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Understand and facilitate Time, Cost, and Quality in the Product Development and R&T Lifecycle.
  2. Engage with Project Governance, Methods, and Tools to meet contractual and customer requirements.
  3. Manage stakeholders across various disciplines to ensure project success.
  4. Manage change and requirements during product development.
  5. Use project management tools to report progress and support engineering management.
  6. Analyze data and prioritize actions based on business needs.
  7. Support technology handover and transition to manufacturing.
  8. Perform peer reviews of data and reports.
  9. Ensure product development complies with aircraft certification requirements.
Minimum Requirements
  • Industrial experience in product development, production engineering, or R&D within engineering.
  • Experience in project management, planning, and influencing results.
  • Self-reliant, proactive, motivated, and achievement-oriented.
  • Strong communication skills in English (oral and written).
  • Ability to build relationships across departments and with customers.
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 4 or HNC in an engineering field.
  • Knowledge of software, electrical, electronic systems, or composite and plastic components.
  • Academic and practical experience in product/process/materials development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full UK driving license and valid passport for travel.
