The targeted hiring range for this full-time position is $61,300 - $82,700 depending on qualifications; however, the expanded salary range provides opportunities for advancement. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and job location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, competencies, experience, and relevant education, training or a combination of these things and market demand. Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

Responsible for providing supervisory leadership for the quality function and performing inspection, analysis, problem resolution and establishing preventative controls for finished goods, raw materials, and critical U.S. Manufacturing processes to assure quality standards and goals are achieved.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensure quality standards are met throughout all manufacturing processes including but not limited to identifying potential quality issues, using lean techniques to find the root cause, and leadership for developing and implementing corrective actions.
  2. Responsible for preparing inspection plans and instructions, selecting sampling plan applications, performing audits, and analyzing audit data.
  3. Responsible for identifying critical processes/materials/product that require process controls and monitoring, developing/executing inspection plans and analyzing data.
  4. Responsible for communicating with suppliers and internal process owners on issues regarding but not limited to: Audit findings, quality problems, corrective and preventative action plans, certificate of analysis (COA) compliance/issues/corrective actions.
  5. Coordinate the return of defective materials and product for credit.
  6. In collaboration with the Purchasing Department, maintain material non-conformance records, supplier quality performance, and make recommendations to the Quality Manager.
  7. Manage daily/weekly lab testing, reporting and associated action planning.
  8. Calibrate laboratory equipment and ensure accuracy of associated documentation.
  9. Coordinate CSA samples and associated audit process.
Qualifications

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and three to five years related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Manufacturing & Engineering experience (knowledge of the Footwear Industry and related Manufacturing processes strongly preferred)
  • Toyota Production Systems knowledge/experience
  • Working knowledge of SPC (statistical process controls)
  • Supervisory experience
