Job summary

AerFin is seeking a Quality & Safety Engineer to uphold and continually improve our Quality and Safety Management Systems. You will work with the Head of Quality & Safety and several teams to support audits, risk management and regulatory compliance, ensuring we operate safely and efficiently.

The role involves driving improvements, investigating issues and contributing to management system development across a growing global aviation business. Hybrid UK positions are available.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in a Part 145 quality environment
  • Knowledge of EASA/CAA Part 145 requirements and aviation management systems
  • Knowledge of Part-IS requirements
  • Lead Auditor trained
  • Experience with Aviation Safety Management Systems (SMS)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive risk identification
  • Effective planning and organisational skills

Responsibilities

About the Role

As a Quality & Safety Engineer at AerFin, you'll play a key role in maintaining and continually improving the systems, processes and standards that underpin our business. Working closely with the Head of Quality & Safety and stakeholders across the organisation, you'll support the ongoing development of our Quality and Safety Management Systems while helping to drive a culture of continuous improvement.

This is a varied and influential role where you'll be involved in auditing, risk management, investigations, corrective actions and management system development. You'll partner with teams across the business to identify opportunities for improvement, support operational change and help ensure AerFin continues to operate safely, efficiently and compliantly.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Quality & Safety Engineer, you'll work across the business to help maintain and continuously improve AerFin's Quality and Safety Management Systems. Working closely with operational teams and stakeholders, you'll support compliance with regulatory requirements, drive continuous improvement initiatives and help promote a positive quality and safety culture throughout the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting internal and external audit activities across the business.
  • Managing non-conformances and supporting corrective actions through to closure.
  • Conducting risk assessments, investigations and safety-related reviews.
  • Maintaining and improving management system documentation, procedures and records.
  • Supporting Management of Change activities and regulatory submissions.
  • Partnering with process owners to ensure compliance during business change and growth.
  • Promoting quality and safety awareness through engagement, communication and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting the administration and development of AerFin's management systems and competence programmes.
Essential Experience & Skills

To be successful in this role you'll have:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience working within a Part 145 quality environment.
  • Strong knowledge of EASA/CAA Part 145 requirements and aviation management systems.
  • Knowledge of Part-IS requirements.
  • Lead Auditor trained.
  • Experience working with Aviation Safety Management Systems (SMS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and drive improvements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and support colleagues at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Effective planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable Experience & Skills
  • 5+ years' experience within aerospace manufacturing, maintenance or a similarly regulated aviation environment.
  • Relevant qualification in aerospace engineering or a related discipline.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualification.
  • Experience supporting management system audits, investigations and corrective action programmes.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of working within a regulated business environment.
