Job summary

Resourcing Global Solutions is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the quality function within a precision engineering business in Watford, supporting aerospace and defence components.

You will own the QMS, drive audits, CAPA and continuous improvement, and partner with Production and Engineering to raise manufacturing performance while building a strong quality culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in Aerospace, precision engineering and high-spec manufacturing.
• AS9100 and/or ISO9001 experience and familiarity with FAIRs and inspections.
• Strong root-cause analysis, internal audits and CAPA processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the AS9100/ISO9001 QMS.
• Lead customer, internal and third-party audits.
• Manage non-conformances, CAPA and 8D/5 Why investigations.
• Drive continuous improvement and data-driven quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with Production and Engineering to improve manufacturing performance.

Are you an ambitious Quality Engineer, Senior Quality Engineer or QA professional looking to take the next step in your career?

You'll take ownership of the Quality function, lead a small team, and play a key role in modernising quality processes, driving continuous improvement and helping shape the future of the business.

The Role

Working closely with the senior leadership team, you'll take responsibility for the Quality Management System and become the focal point for all quality-related activities across the business.

You'll lead a small quality team comprising:

• Quality Engineer
• Goods In/Out Inspector
• Inspector

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining and developing the AS9100/ISO9001 Quality Management System
• Leading customer, internal and third-party audits
• Managing non-conformances, CAPA and root cause investigations (8D, 5 Why)
• Supporting FAIRs, inspection and metrology activities
• Managing supplier quality and customer quality issues
• Driving continuous improvement and implementing modern, data-driven quality processes
• Working closely with Production and Engineering to improve manufacturing performance
• Building a positive quality culture across the business

About You

• Aerospace
