Qualifications

• Expérience en qualité ou leadership QHSE en environnement manufacturier.
• Connaissance des outils de qualité pour les normes automobiles et aéronautiques.
• Capacité à interpréter des dessins techniques (GD&T).

Our client is a growing SME manufacturing company based in Rochdale that is recruiting a Quality Manager to lead the QHSE function.

Job Description

As a member of the senior management team, the Quality Manager will effectively manage all aspects of Quality across the business, provide leadership to the Quality Department, and drive a systems-based approach to continuous improvement. They will also be responsible for implementing and improving all QHSE policies, procedures, and strategies. Key duties include:

1. Identifying & reporting Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality concerns to the Managing Director.
2. Driving the implementation and improvement of the company's QHSE Management System.
3. Developing and supporting business processes, awareness, and strategy for current and future ISO accreditations.
4. Leading internal training and development initiatives.
5. Owning the business's Quality Strategy, responses, and actions.
6. Establishing and maintaining a safe working culture across all locations, ensuring safety policies are implemented.
7. Identifying and addressing employee training and development needs related to QHSE.

The Successful Applicant

* Experience in a Quality or QHSE leadership role within a manufacturing environment.

* Familiarity with quality tools for Automotive & Aerospace standards (FAIRs, 8D, RCA, ICA, FAI, APQP, PPAP) is preferred, but not essential. Experience in plastics or tooling is a plus.

* Ability to lead colleagues in adopting and adhering to standards.

* Capable of generating cost savings through effective inspection processes and root cause analysis.

* Hands-on experience with measurement tools like pin gauges, callipers, height gauges, and CMM.

* Experience in monitoring production cycles and preventing errors.

* Strong process improvement skills and knowledge of SPC techniques.

* Knowledge or certification in Six Sigma is beneficial.

* Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, with experience in managing health and safety.

* Ability to interpret technical drawings (GD&T).

* Experience with inspection and measurement equipment.

* Exposure to precision tooling and injection moulding environments is advantageous.

* Excellent communication, leadership, and management skills.
