Job summary

STRABAG UK LIMITED is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to support our Power team on major transmission and distribution projects across the UK. You will drive environmental compliance, coordinate with site teams and ensure adherence to STRABAG policies.

Key duties include reviewing Quality Plans, inspections, and collaborating with engineers to deliver safe, sustainable infrastructure. A CQI member is preferred; a relevant engineering degree is desirable.

Qualifications

  • HNC/HND/Degree qualified or relevant experience in Quality Management.
  • Experience with High Voltage / Low Voltage transmission & distribution systems.
  • Proficient in Quality Management Systems and processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Quality Plans and Contractors Quality Plans / ITPs.
  • Develop Inspection Test Plans/Quality Checklists with project teams.
  • Collaborate with site engineers to ensure on-site quality execution.
  • Carry out regular inspections/audits to verify adherence to Quality policies and procedures.
  • Maintain records to ensure compliance with company procedures and contract requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage closure of non-conformities or improvement actions.
  • Provide Quality input into supplier pre-qualification when required.
  • Review Quality Plans and contractor-originated documents.
  • Provide Quality support to the project and client as required.
  • Opportunity to contribute to landmark UK infrastructure projects.

Job description

STRABAG UK is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join our growing Power team, supporting the delivery of major Transmission & Distribution projects across the UK.

Required:

  • Skills card - CSCS Card (relevant type)All roles are expected to have the relevant competency skills cards where site based work is required
  • HNC/HND/Degree qualified or relevant experience in Quality Management
  • Relevant experience and qualifications for working with High Voltage / Low Voltage transmission & distribution systems
  • Experience in Quality Management Systems
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in standard computer programmes including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure that all work is prioritised to meet project requirements
  • Team player with ability to coach and mentor others as required
  • Member of CQI
  • HND / Degree in Engineering Discipline desirable

Requirments:

  • Surveillances of activities supporting the Project Quality Plan and Contractors Quality Plans / Inspection and Test Plans
  • Manage and support Project teams in the development of Inspection Test Plans/Quality Checklists
  • Work closely with the site engineers to ensure the Quality process is being carried out on site.
  • Manage and carry out regular inspections/audits to determine whether work is being carried out in accordance with Quality Policy, Procedures and other stated requirements.
  • Maintain records as necessary to ensure compliance with Company procedures and Contract Requirements
  • Coordinate and manage closure of non-conformities or performance improvement actions.
  • Provide Quality input into the Supplier pre-qualification process where required.
  • Review of documentation such as Quality Plans, including documents originated by Contractors.
  • Provide Quality support to the project / Client as required.
