Job summary

STRABAG UK is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the engineering function for major power transmission projects across the UK. You will partner with project directors, manage multidisciplinary teams and ensure safe, buildable and commercially sound solutions from tender through handover.

You will champion innovation, digital engineering and continuous improvement while upholding STRABAG UK's health, safety and environmental standards and working with clients, designers and supply

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Engineering or Design Management experience.
• Significant experience delivering major power transmission and distribution projects within the UK.
• Strong understanding of substation, overhead line and cable system design and construction.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and external design partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering function across the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical governance from tender through to commissioning and handover.
• Champion innovation, quality, digital engineering and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, supply chain partners and internal stakeholders.
