Job summary

Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality management across a major Oxford laboratory and research facilities project. You will embed a proactive quality culture, work with leadership, supply chain partners, and delivery teams, and ensure works meet specifications and client expectations.

The role emphasizes driving continuous improvement, managing complex interfaces, and applying industry standards across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent in an Engineering or construction discipline.
• Strong understanding of Building Regulations, Construction Law, and Quality Specifications in the UK construction sector.
• Familiarity with ISO9001.
• Excellent presentation and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide project teams in day-to-day implementation of quality management practices.
• Work with site teams to identify and manage quality risks and drive engagement.
• Support Design Teams to ensure Quality risks are addressed through design mitigation.
• Ensure Quality Package Risk Workshops are held at project start.
• Review effectiveness of quality risk controls, including subcontractor controls like ITPs and mock-ups.
• Conduct technical site quality inspections across packages to ensure quality performance.
