Job summary

Parklands Capital is seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to lead the Quality and Inspection team on the shop floor, owning the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and collaborating with Production and Engineering to raise manufacturing standards.

The role requires proven quality or inspection experience in precision engineering, strong GD&T and measurement skills, and the ability to drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions. CMM/optical measurement exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven quality or inspection experience in precision engineering or manufacturing.
• Hands-on dimensional inspection expertise.
• Strong knowledge of machining and precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to interpret drawings, tolerances and GD&T.
• Experience in root cause analysis, non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Strong ISO 9001 knowledge and audits experience.
• Clear communication and practical problem-solving on the shop floor.
• Time-served engineers, machinists or fitters moving into quality encouraged.

Do you have a strong engineering background and the practical inspection skills to lead quality on the shop floor?

We’re looking for a hands‑on Quality Manager to lead our Quality and Inspection team, take ownership of our ISO 9001 Quality Management System and work closely with Production and Engineering to improve manufacturing standards.

Our main criteria are:

• Proven Quality or Inspection experience within precision engineering or manufacturing, including extensive hands‑on dimensional inspection.
• Strong knowledge of machining, manufacturing processes and precision measuring equipment.
• Confidence interpreting engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T, and selecting appropriate inspection methods.
• Experience in root cause analysis, resolving non-conformances and implementing effective corrective actions.
• Strong ISO 9001 knowledge and experience of internal and external audits.
• Clear communication, practical problem‑solving skills and confidence supporting shop‑floor teams.
• We particularly welcome time‑served Engineers, Machinists or Fitters who have progressed into Quality.
• Experience with CMM or optical measurement equipment, or within aerospace, defence, oil and gas, would be an advantage.
