Job summary

Northpoint is a well-established UK specialist in professional powder coating and anti-corrosion solutions, supporting customers across industries. As a hands-on Quality Manager, you will oversee ISO 9001, work with the HSQE Manager on accreditation, and maintain quality across production on the shop floor.

You will drive improvements, audits, NCRs and supplier quality while collaborating with production teams to uphold high standards.

Qualifications

• Significant quality experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with coatings, paints, powder coating or similar surface treatment is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001; exposure to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is beneficial.
• Experience with audits, non-conformances, root cause analysis and corrective actions.

• Lead and continually improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Contract: Permanent, full-time
Salary: £45,000–£50,000, depending on experience
Hours: 08:30–16:30, Monday to Friday

We are now looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join the team and take a leading role in maintaining and developing our quality standards across the organisation.

About the role

This is a hands‑on Quality Manager position with significant responsibility for ensuring our products, processes and systems continue to meet high standards of quality, compliance and operational integrity.

You will provide oversight of the organisation’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System, while working closely with the HSQE Manager to support our continued development and future accreditation activity.

This is not a role that will sit behind a desk. You will have a strong presence across the production environment, working closely with Quality Inspectors and production teams to identify issues, improve processes and embed a positive approach to quality throughout the business.

What we’re looking for

You will ideally have:

• Significant quality experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience within coatings, paints, powder coating or a similar surface treatment environment.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, with exposure to ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 advantageous.
• Experience of audits, non‑conformances, root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to influence and work effectively at all levels.
• A practical, hands‑on approach and willingness to maintain a visible presence on the shop floor.
