Job description

Job Opportunity: Quality Manager

If you are a Quality Manager, this is an ideal opportunity to advance your career in the rail industry with a rapidly expanding company based in Croydon. They are currently seeking a dedicated Quality Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Working Hours & Salary:

36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a salary up to £75,000 depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and improve the Quality Management System for Croydon operations, off-site personnel, and field service.
2. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, RISQS, and RISAS standards.
3. Coordinate customer and third-party audits to maintain approvals.
4. Supervise the Quality Team and oversee inspection processes for incoming and outgoing goods.
5. Perform supplier assessments and audits; develop a supplier rating system.
6. Create and manage the internal audit plan.
7. Review and approve customer and supplier requirements, specifications, and technical documents from a quality perspective.
8. Manage the NCR system for internal and external non-conformances.

Requirements:

1. Experience in Quality Management within an engineering environment.
2. Chartered Quality professional status.
3. Lead auditor qualification with experience in planning and conducting internal audits.
4. Strong technical background, including knowledge of engineering standards.
5. Proficiency in IT skills, including ERP systems.
6. Analytical skills related to costing, finance, and KPIs.
7. Commercial awareness of how quality impacts contracts.
8. Understanding of OPEX.
