As a Quality Manager, you will lead, develop, and improve the quality teams, processes, culture, safety, and customer experience to enable world-class production of Leonardo products and support business growth.
You will be the leader of a business area quality management team, responsible for effective leadership, planning, and communication of objectives.
Supporting the Head of Quality, Head of Manufacturing Engineering (including Operations leadership), and Business Area leadership (Sector level Vice President).
You will identify specific sector and program risks, threats, and opportunities that the QM will manage and support.
You will agree on Project Assurance Plans (PAP) at both the Program and Project levels, defining assurance activities aligned with risk, opportunity, and improvement to support the business area and projects.
You are recognized as an expert in quality, operations, manufacturing, leadership principles, and business processes such as finances.
People management and leadership skills are essential, including effective performance and change management (change agent).
Experience in high-level maturity reviews and assessing lifecycle deliverables to ensure results and actions are implemented is required.
You should have demonstrated knowledge of all phases of the product lifecycle and associated processes, with experience in design/maturity reviews representing quality at a high level.
Experience with NPI/MRL quality processes for bringing new electro-mechanical products to market is important.
You must be an expert in influencing and negotiating using facts, data, proposals, and analysis to support reasoning.
Ability to communicate quality issues at a leadership level in a non-technical, influencing manner is necessary.
Evidence of leadership in capability and process development within quality engineering and the ability to implement change is required.
You should be able to partner effectively with operations, project teams, customers, and suppliers.
Proven success in mentoring and coaching to grow quality excellence within the business.
Experience in reducing TQNQ and implementing a root cause and corrective action culture that positively impacts the business.
