Job summary

Rapid Hire Recruitment Ltd T/A Kenect Recruitment in Banbridge is seeking a Welding Quality Manager to own welding quality, drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with ISO 3834. The role involves auditing, process improvements, and close collaboration with manufacturing and project teams.

The ideal candidate will have welding quality/inspection experience, knowledge of ISO 3834 and NDT, and relevant welding qualifications; CSWIP 3.1 or IWS/IWT are desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Welding Quality/Inspection/Coordination.
• Knowledge of ISO 3834, WPS/PQR control, welder qualifications and NDT.
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication or engineering environments.
• Ability to lead quality improvements, audits and root cause investigations.

Quality Manager – Banbridge

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

Working hours: Monday - Thursday: 7:00am - 4:30pm | Friday: 7:00am - 1:30pm

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering and manufacturing company for an experienced Welding Quality Manager to join their growing team in Banbridge. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused professional to take ownership of welding standards, drive continuous improvement, and play a key role in maintaining industry-leading compliance.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of welding quality, ensuring compliance with ISO 3834 standards, supporting audits, improving welding processes, and working closely with manufacturing, engineering and project teams to maintain the highest quality standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a Welding Quality, Welding Inspection or Welding Coordination role
• Strong knowledge of ISO 3834, WPS/PQR control, welder qualifications and NDT
• Experience within a manufacturing, fabrication or engineering environment
• Ability to lead quality improvements, audits and root cause investigations
• Relevant welding qualifications such as CSWIP 3.1, IWS/IWT or similar are desirable but not essential
