Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Manager to join our team, with extensive experience in Fasteners and Fixings.

Key Responsibilities – The Role

1. Operational General
2. Ensure performance aligns with company standards (e.g., ISO 9001:2015 & AS9120 B).
3. Foster relationships with sales, purchasing, administration, and senior management.
4. Operational (Quality)
5. Manage the daily operations of the Quality Department.
6. Collaborate with Senior Management to develop and implement strategic policies.
7. Maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), including audits, forms, drawings, meetings, and procedures.
8. Ensure customer requirements are met, compliant, and legal.
9. Inspect incoming goods, document inspections, and ensure lot traceability.
10. Manage non-conformances, liaising with Purchasing for corrective actions.
11. Investigate product returns and conduct tests, preparing reports as needed.
12. Arrange and record calibration certifications.
13. Oversee the quarantine area, manage outstanding issues, and liaise with suppliers.
14. Conduct vendor assessments and ensure quality standards with suppliers.
15. Establish and maintain quality controls and documentation procedures.
16. Manage audits and address non-conformances within set timelines.
17. Line Management
18. Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports, managing performance and training records.
19. Ensure team compliance with quality systems.
20. Organizational/Developmental
21. Contribute ideas to improve purchasing efficiency and effectiveness.
22. Stay informed on industry and competitor developments.
