The basics:

Job Title: Quality Manager

Salary: Up to £72,000 DOE

Hours: Monday to Thursday (7.30am-4.30pm) and Fridays (7.30am-2.00pm)

Contracted hours: 40 per week

Holidays and Benefits: 33 days holiday, Xmas shut down, 7.5% pension, x4 salary death in service.

Overview:

Working within modern purpose-built manufacturing facilities, the quality manager will oversee quality assurance for a precision engineering business that manufactures components and fabrications for the aerospace, nuclear, and defence industries.

Brief overview of duties:

• Maintain approvals and certifications including AS9100, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, NADCAP (NDT), R-R SABRE, R-R GS3001.
• Ensure a strong internal audit schedule is in place and adhered to, conducting audits in line with best practices and closing out non-conformances promptly.
• Organise and conduct external audits effectively.
• Manage the quality team members.
• Continuously review and improve the Quality Management System.
• Implement and follow robust quality controls aligned with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Record and resolve customer complaints promptly.
• Employ quality tools to investigate, correct, and prevent non-conformance.

The ideal candidate / Quality Manager may have some of the following, but these are not essential:

• Experience with data collection and analysis.
• Strong background in implementing quality systems within precision engineering environments such as aerospace, machining, or fabrication.
• Experience with Lean/problem-solving techniques (8D), Kaizen.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma processes is beneficial.
• Ability to drive quality standards throughout a large manufacturing business.

Location: Commutable from Heanor, Ripley, Alfreton, Hucknall, and surrounding areas.
