Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a Quality Manager to lead quality across UK nuclear projects, ensuring compliance with nuclear standards and safety requirements. The role focuses on structuring quality activities across complex engineering and supplier networks and building robust dashboards for performance tracking.

You will guide pre-outage planning, NCR resolution, and post-outage improvements while coordinating internal quality actions and supplier risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.
• Experience in nuclear or large-scale industrial quality environments.
• Proven leadership of cross-functional teams and change initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-outage quality planning and risk identification.
• Improve surveillance routines during outages and manage NCR resolution.
• Drive post-outage lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build and maintain quality dashboards to track performance.
• Drive internal quality action plans and coordinate strategic forums.
• Lead supplier risk assessments and define ITP/ITPLs.
• Define surveillance strategies across the supply chain.
• Manage witness schedules and inspections with suppliers.
• Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities (8D, A3, 5 Why, FMEA).
• Ensure Nuclear Safety and traceability requirements are applied.
