Job description

We are searching for a Quality Laboratory Technician within our Supply Chain team. If you believe you have the experience and skills we need, we would love to hear from you.

About the role:
  1. Implement company and departmental policies and procedures to comply with Health, Safety, COSHH, and Risk Assessment requirements.
  2. Plan your workload to ensure a balance between rapid delivery and maintaining appropriate quality of results to support the laboratory team in daily activities.
  3. Carry out routine and non-routine tasks accurately to produce reliable data supporting scientific investigations.
  4. Follow strict methodologies to carry out analysis.
  5. Record, analyze, and sometimes interpret data to present findings to senior colleagues.
  6. Participate in routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, including fume cupboards, deionizers, autoclaves, etc., under the guidance of the Senior Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician.
  7. Contribute to the continual improvement and development of methods and procedures.
  8. Update your knowledge through educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
About you:
  1. At least 2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
  2. A background in the food industry is preferable but not essential.
  3. Experience working to high-quality standards such as GMP/GLP.
  4. Knowledge of NIR modeling software, HPLC, GC, Thermal Conductivity, AAS, wet chemistry, and basic microbiology.
  5. Good mathematical skills.
  6. Attention to detail, good time management, organization, and ability to multitask.
  7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  8. BSc Degree in a related scientific field or a minimum of HND. A full clean driving license.
