Job summary

RBW Consulting invites applications for a Laboratory Supervisor role at a healthcare manufacturing site in Trefriw, North Wales. You will lead a small team, ensure GMP-compliant testing, and drive quality across the laboratory.

Reporting to the Head of Quality, you will oversee outsourced chemistry work, onsite microbiology, environmental monitoring, and data investigations while partnering with QA, production, and warehouse to meet site quality objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience in a QC/analytical/microbiology lab within a regulated industry.
• GMP and laboratory compliance knowledge is essential.
• Experience reviewing lab data and investigating deviations or non-conformances.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication across multiple departments.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement and lab excellence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop Quality Assurance personnel with daily guidance.
• Coordinate laboratory workloads and ensure testing meets timelines.
• Manage relationships with external contract testing labs and review results.
• Oversee onsite microbiological testing, including environmental monitoring.
• Review laboratory data and investigate anomalies or out-of-spec results.
• Ensure GMP-compliant procedures, records, and documentation.
