Job summary

RBW Consulting in Sheffield is seeking a QC Supervisor to lead a dedicated QC team in a dynamic pharmaceutical environment. This permanent role involves supervising QC Chemists and Analysts, providing coaching, coordinating laboratory activities, and deputising for the QC Manager as needed.

Working in a GMP-regulated laboratory, you will ensure testing meets high quality standards while supporting team development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Circa 5 years+ experience working within a pharmaceutical GMP QC laboratory.
• Hands-on experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC and GC.
• Previous supervisory, mentoring, or team leadership is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of GMP and quality compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the QC laboratory team.
• Coach, mentor, and develop QC Chemists.
• Ensure testing is performed in compliance with GMP requirements and laboratory procedures.
• Support laboratory investigations, deviations, and OOS activities.
• Review data and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with workload planning and resource allocation.
• Deputise for the QC Manager when required.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.
