Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is recruiting a Quality Inspector for a Derby-based precision engineering company. You will carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections of machined components and use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, height gauges and bore gauges.

We are seeking a candidate with experience in precision engineering, capable of reading drawings and tolerances, and ensuring products meet customer specifications in a Monday-to-Friday role with

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting machined components using precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspection of precision-engineered components.
• Inspect machined parts, small castings and hand-held mechanical components.
• Undertake incoming and outgoing material and component inspections.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and technical specifications.
• Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, height gauges and bore gauges.

Are you a Quality Inspector with experience in Precision Engineering or Manufacturing, looking to join an established engineering company offering private medical insurance and a stable Monday-to-Friday working pattern?

The Role:

• Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspection of precision-engineered components
