• Perm role, £35k-£45k pa DOE, Mon to Thurs
• Location: Wetherby

Role Overview

Are you an experienced Quality Inspector with experience in the Precision Engineering sector? If so, we are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to work for our client, an Engineering and Manufacturing company based in Wetherby.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products against engineering drawings to assess quality standards
• Use hand tools for manual inspection of components
• Ensure conformity for precision engineered components
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections
• Complete First Article Inspections and NCRs
• Understand geometric tolerances and surface finishings
• Liaise with other departments as needed

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or similar (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, BTEC, HNC, HND, etc.)
• Experience in a similar role within the Precision Engineering Industry
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
• Experience with measuring instruments like micrometres, verniers, digital verniers, and calipers
• Experience working to tight tolerances and ISO 9001 standards
• Passion for Geometry and measuring techniques
• Knowledge of inspection best practices
• Good time management skills
• Hands-on problem-solving approach
• Exceptional attention to detail

Additional Details

This is a permanent position with a salary between £35k and £45k per annum, depending on experience. Core hours are from 7:30 am to 5:15 pm, Monday to Thursday, with flexibility required.
