Job Title: Quality Inspector

E3 Recruitment is supporting a highly respected, globally operating organization in recruiting a Quality Inspector on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This opportunity is with a well-established engineering company, operating since the late 19XX, employing over XXX people worldwide. The company supplies to industries such as Defence, Power Generation, and Oil & Gas.

Location: HUDDERSFIELD, just 10 minutes from the M62, easily accessible from Halifax, Bradford, Leeds, Rochdale, Oldham, Manchester, Wakefield, Barnsley, Rotherham, and Sheffield.

Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector:

1. Carrying out visual and dimensional inspection of machined components using various measuring tools and instruments, including CMM and Faro Arm.
2. Raising, investigating, and supporting machining NCRs.
3. Maintaining and storing reports, investigations, and data accurately.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Formal qualifications in Mechanical Engineering (Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, or similar).
• Previous experience in a relevant role, ideally within heavy engineering environments.

Working Hours:

The position involves rotating shifts:

1. AM Shift: 40 hours/week with 18% shift allowance, Monday to Friday, 06:30 - 14:30.
2. PM Shift: 34 hours/week with 18% shift allowance, Monday to Thursday, 14:30 - 22:00, and Friday, 14:30 - 18:30.
