Job summary

Edge Recruits in Totnes is seeking a Quality Inspector to join a well-established manufacturing business. You will inspect materials and finished products, manage quality issues, and support production teams to ensure products meet customer and company standards.

This role offers a Monday-Thursday 8:00-16:00 and Friday 8:00-13:30 shift pattern, opportunities for process improvements, and a supportive team focused on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
• Strong communication and teamwork are required to collaborate with production
• Ability to stay organized and work independently when needed.
• Ability to follow quality, health & safety and environmental procedures.
• Experience with quality systems or procedures is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections of incoming goods, first-offs, and finished products.
• Manage and maintain the reject log, including resolving and closing quality issues.
• Ensure customer inspection requirements and product specifications are met.
• Quarantine, log and process rejected stock, including arranging scrappage where required.
• Promote health, safety, environmental and quality standards across the workplace.

We are recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Totnes. Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for inspecting materials and finished products, managing quality issues, and supporting production teams to ensure products consistently meet customer and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections of incoming goods, production first-offs and finished products.
• Manage and maintain the reject log, including resolving and closing quality issues.

Essential

Desirable

• Previous quality inspection experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using WMS, ERP or similar business systems.
• Knowledge of inspection procedures and quality standards.
