Job summary

Solid State Group is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team in Tewkesbury. You will inspect components and assemblies, perform visual and final inspections, and help drive quality improvements across production.

In this hands-on role you will read engineering drawings, use various measuring and inspection tools, and maintain accurate records. A meticulous approach and strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential to support root cause

Qualifications

• Experience in a Quality Inspector or similar role within manufacturing.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience using measuring and inspection equipment.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Excellent attention to detail with a methodical approach.
• Experience identifying and reporting non-conformances.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing, calibration, internal auditing or IPC Class 3 standards is useful.

Job DescriptionGOT AN EYE FOR DETAIL? MAKE QUALITY COUNT.Steatite, part of the Solid State Group, is looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team in Tewkesbury.

You will play an important hands on role in ensuring our products meet the required standards throughout manufacture and before they reach our customers. Working closely with Production and Engineering, you will inspect components and assemblies, identify quality issues and help us continually improve how we work.

What you will be doing

• Carrying out visual and final inspections of manufactured products
• Inspecting components and assemblies against drawings and specifications

• Using measuring, test and inspection equipment

we are looking for

• You will need previous experience in a Quality Inspector or similar hands-on quality role within manufacturing, together with:
• Experience reading engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience using measuring and inspection equipment
• Good knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach
• Experience identifying and reporting non-conformances
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Experience within electronics manufacturing, calibration, internal auditing or IPC Class 3 standards would be particularly useful
