A leading company in the aerospace sector is seeking a Quality Inspector for its Tewkesbury facility. The role involves conducting inspections, collaborating on non-conformance issues, and contributing to quality improvements. Candidates should have relevant experience and a passion for quality assurance.
Job Summary
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections of parts and assemblies using various measuring equipment.
- Inspect parts from subcontractors for special processes.
- Perform electronic transactions to accept or reject parts.
- Present and discuss non-conformances with the team for dispositions.
- Write non-conformance reports.
- Control non-conforming parts.
- Complete training modules on the Moog training portal.
- Participate in investigations, problem-solving, and department improvement activities.
- Engage in Gauge R&R studies.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant inspection experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in a machine shop, production environment, or inspection department of a special process supplier.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
- Experience with inspection techniques and various measuring instruments.
- Desirable: Knowledge of TIPQA, QPulse FAIR system, and customer web portals.
- Experience inspecting parts from special processes.
- CMM inspection experience is an advantage.
- Familiarity with QMS systems and Microsoft applications.
