Syntech Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Quality Inspector for a UK aerospace/defence manufacturer in Chalgrove, Oxfordshire. The role offers a competitive basic salary and a substantial on-target earnings package with shift allowances.

You'll inspect safety-critical components, read engineering drawings, and work within a modern clean facility. The position requires hands-on experience with precision tools and reading drawings, with a 4 on/4 off shift pattern after probation and a strong focus

Location: Chalgrove, Oxfordshire - 20minute drive from Oxford (Commutable by car from Oxford, Thame, Aylesbury, Abingdon, Didcot, Wheatley, Wallingford, Henley-on-Thames, High Wycombe, Bicester)

Salary: £32,500 basic | £39,000-£40,000 OTE including shift allowance

Start Date: ASAP (notice periods considered)

This role would suit candidates with strong experience using handheld inspection tools (verniers, callipers), confidence reading engineering drawings, and a background in precision manufacturing environments such as aerospace, defence, or automotive.

Shift Pattern

This role will transition to a 4 days on / 4 days off shift pattern after probation, working 177 shifts per year. The shift pattern includes weekends and bank holidays, but excludes Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day.

Quality Inspector - Benefits

Quality Inspector - Responsibilities

• Knowledge of GD&T desirable but not essential
• High attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset
