Accept Recruitment is partnering with an established sheet metal and engineering manufacturer in the East Midlands to recruit a Quality Inspector on the production floor. You will verify components against drawings and customer requirements, then sign off work before it goes to customers.

The role focuses on first-offs, in-process and final checks, requiring precision measurements and close collaboration with production teams to maintain quality standards.

Formación

• Experience in a quality or engineering inspection role within manufacturing.
• Confidence reading engineering drawings and working to tolerances.
• Practical experience with standard measuring equipment.

Quality Inspector - East Midlands - £13.00 to £16.00 per hour - Temp to Perm

Accept Recruitment is working with an established sheet metal and engineering manufacturer in the East Midlands to recruit an experienced Quality Inspector.

This role is based on the production floor rather than in an office. You'll check components against drawings and customer requirements, and sign off work before it goes out to customers.

The Role

• Carrying out first-off, in-process and final checks on sheet metal and fabricated parts
• Measuring parts against drawings and tolerances using verniers, micrometers and height gauges
• Spotting and reporting parts that don't meet spec, and working with production to put them right
• Keeping inspection records and quality paperwork up to date
• Signing off finished jobs before despatch, checking that quantities and documentation are correct
• Looking after inspection equipment and making sure it's used properly
• Helping drive quality improvements and following site safety and quality procedures

What You'll Need

• Experience in a quality or engineering inspection role within manufacturing
• Confidence reading engineering drawings and working to tolerances
• Practical experience with standard measuring equipment
• A sharp eye for detail
• The confidence to speak up when something isn't right

Desirable

• A background in sheet metal, fabrication, welding or precision engineering
