Job summary

Metalis Recruitment Group is partnering with a Chesterfield-based manufacturer to hire a Quality Inspector. In this role you will inspect incoming parts and materials against drawings, evaluate components, and liaise across departments to address quality issues.

You will also conduct supplier audits and post-assembly inspections, ensuring accurate documentation and sign-off. The ideal candidate has NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, understands machining and fabrication processes, and can read

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or equivalent quality systems.
• Experience using measuring and inspection equipment.
• Understanding of machining, fabrication and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all incoming parts and materials against drawings and specifications.
• Evaluate fabricated, machined and secondary-processed components.
• Liaise with other departments regarding incoming parts and quality issues.
• Conduct supplier audits and inspections.
• Inspect assembled products and complete sign-off procedures.
• Identify trends and recurring quality issues.

Job Role: Quality Inspector

Location: Chesterfield

Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Metalis are working with a well established manufacturer in Chesterfield, who are looking for a Quality Inspector to join their team.

Job Duties

• Inspect all incoming parts and materials from suppliers against technical drawings and specifications
• Process and evaluate fabricated, machined and secondary-processed components
• Liaise with other departments regarding incoming parts and any quality issues
• Conduct supplier audits and inspections
• Inspect all assembled products and finished goods post-assemblyEnsure accurate documentation of all outgoing inspections and sign-off procedures
• Identify trends and recurring quality issues
• Maintain up to date knowledge of technical drawings, specifications and quality standards

Job Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience (quality, manufacturing, engineering)
• Knowledge of machining, fabrication and manufacturing processes
• ISO 9001 or equivalent quality system knowledge
• Able to read and work from engineering drawings
• Experience using measuring and inspection equipment

Salary, Shift & Benefits

• £32,000 - £38,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
• 23 holiday days + 8 bank holidays
• 3% contributory pension
