Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a hands-on Quality Inspector for a growing Nottingham-based manufacturing operation. You will perform first-off, in-process and final inspections, reading drawings and using measurement tools to ensure components meet tolerances and customer specs.

The role is full-time, 40 hours per week on a 10am-6pm shift, with training and progression opportunities to develop your quality engineering skills and advance within the company in Nottingham.

Qualifications

• Background as a Quality Inspector or similar in manufacturing/engineering.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Willingness to commute to Nottingham.

Responsibilities

• Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections.
• Read and interpret drawings, tolerances and specs.
• Use verniers, micrometers, height gauges and other inspection tools.
• Identify non-conforming products and report findings.
• Complete inspection and quality documentation accurately.
• Prepare completed jobs for despatch and ensure paperwork is correct.

Do you have a background as a Quality Inspector or similar within a manufacturing or engineering environment or similar, looking to join a company where you can develop and progress your career through training, and boost your income with over time?

On offer is the opportunity to join a growing manufacturing business based in Nottingham. The company is looking for a hands-on and detail-focused Quality Inspector to ensure fabricated and manufactured components meet customer drawings, specifications and required quality standards.

This is a practical shop-floor role where you will carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections, using a range of measuring equipment to check components against engineering drawings and tolerances. You will also play an important role in preparing completed jobs for despatch, ensuring quantities, paperwork and quality documentation are correct before goods leave site.

This role would suit someone with a background in Quality Inspection or similar in a manufacturing or engineering environment, or similar looking to join a growing company where you can develop skills and progress within the company whilst also boosting your income with over time.

The Role:

• Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections of manufactured and fabricated components
