Castle Employment Group is seeking a Quality Inspector for a permanent, full-time role in Ashton-under-Lyne. You will inspect bespoke machined components and assemblies, using FARO Arm or CMM equipment to ensure drawings and specifications are met, with ownership of day-to-day quality to support production teams.
You’ll work Monday to Thursday 8am–5pm and Friday 8am–1pm, enjoy 33 days leave, and benefit from development opportunities and on-site parking in a collaborative engineering environment.
Are you a Quality Inspector who enjoys hands-on engineering, varied inspection work and the opportunity to take real ownership of quality?
Would you like to work with large, bespoke machined components rather than inspecting the same parts every day?
An established specialist engineering business in Ashton-under-Lyne is looking to recruit a Quality Inspector to join its close-knit manufacturing team.
This is an excellent opportunity to become the dedicated inspector within a business that combines the working environment of a smaller engineering company with the stability and investment of a larger industrial group.
You'll benefit from a competitive salary of £36,000 - £43,000, a 1pm Friday finish, 33 days’ annual leave and the opportunity to work with an impressive variety of precision-engineered components.
As Quality Inspector, you'll play an important role in ensuring machined components and fabricated assemblies meet customer drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
You'll have independence in your daily inspection activities, with support from an experienced management team when technical or production issues arise.
We're keen to speak with Quality Inspectors, Dimensional Inspectors, CMM Inspectors or engineering professionals who have developed strong practical inspection skills within a machining or mechanical manufacturing environment.
You'll need:
Experience inspecting large components, working in subcontract machining or using FARO measurement software would be advantageous, but is not essential.
You do not need previous FARO Arm experience if you have practical CMM inspection experience. Training on the company's specific inspection software can be provided.
We would also welcome applications from individuals with a CNC machining, toolmaking or precision engineering background who have developed substantial hands-on inspection experience.
