Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, highly analytical Technician to join our Quality Assurance Department. As the on-floor inspector, you will uphold the Quality Standards set forth by ISO 9001 and IATF 16949. Your responsibilities will include conducting roving checks at each production station throughout the facility to ensure adherence to proper processes, as well as verifying documentation and processes to produce acceptable parts.

Responsibilities:

1. Qualify first piece entries following production run set-ups.
2. Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping.
3. Assist the Quality Lead in creating PPAP and PFMEA documentation.
4. Audit finished products for non-conformities.
5. Utilize lab equipment such as CMM machines, microscopes, optical comparators, depth and height gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
6. Train production associates to meet quality requirements on a job-by-job basis.
7. Conduct routine audits of the production floor to ensure compliance with standards.
8. Inspect incoming raw materials and subcomponents from vendors.
9. Document inspection results and complete necessary paperwork.
10. Maintain data collection programs and check sheets related to non-conforming products.
11. Perform full-scale inspections when non-conforming products are identified.

Requirements:

• Three to five years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and utilize measurement tools effectively.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-up abilities.

The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards and extensive experience with both handheld and automated measurement equipment.
