Job summary

Safran Nacelles is a worldwide leader in aircraft engine nacelles, with a Burnley site employing hundreds of people. We are seeking a Quality Inspector for our Composites team to ensure aerospace components meet the highest quality, safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our Composites team, helping ensure aerospace components are manufactured and delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of composite components.
• Validate inspection activities against engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures.
• Record inspection results accurately and maintain quality documentation.
• Identify, contain, and escape non-conforming products.
• Complete and review quality documentation including Batch Cards, Quality Notifications, PPAP, PVI, and First Article reports.
• Support QRQC reviews and quality improvement activities.
• Validate delivery documentation and inspection records.
• Support QN reduction and continuous improvement projects.
• Promote a "Stop at First Defect" mindset throughout the business.
• Escalate product quality or safety concerns through the appropriate processes.

• Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI), PPAP, and PVI requirements.
• MRB Delegation experience.
• Regulatory Release delegation experience.
• Knowledge of customer quality procedures and acceptance criteria.
• Experience supporting QRQC and continuous improvement activities
