Job summary

Safran Nacelles in Burnley is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support the Composite Operations team in delivering products on time, to specification and in full compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.

You will drive quality improvement initiatives, prevent customer escapes, reduce concessions, and support the Quality Management System across Operations, Engineering and Manufacturing in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Quality Assurance experience within a manufacturing or technical environment.
• Experience with APQP and core quality tools such as PFMEA, SPC, 8D, and Six Sigma.
• Proven experience delivering complex problem-solving and continuous improvement projects.
• Degree/HND in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive customer escape prevention and concession reduction initiatives.
• Lead complex root cause investigations and continuous improvement projects.
• Apply quality tools including APQP, PFMEA, SPC, 8D, and Six Sigma.
• Support Quality Planning activities for New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Conduct product and process audits and manage corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and operational performance.

About the Role

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will support the Composite Operations team in delivering products on time, to specification, and in full compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams, you will drive quality improvement initiatives, prevent customer escapes, reduce concessions, and support the continuous development of the Quality Management System. Essential Requirements
