Job Opportunity: Quality Inspector

CNC Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our dynamic client team. The company is a Somerset-based engineering firm with over 40 years of industry experience.

Position Details

• Job type: Full time, permanent
• Location: Winfrith, Newburgh (Outside of Dorchester)
• Working hours: Rolling / Rotating Shift Patterns - 4 day working week: Monday to Thursday 6am to 5pm OR Monday to Thursday 8am to 7pm
• Salary: £30k per annum (up to £35k depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Inspections: Conduct thorough quality inspections of incoming & outgoing components and raw materials using advanced equipment, including 1st offs and patrol inspections.
2. Non-Conformance Reporting: Raise and close non-conformance reports to maintain production integrity and facilitate continuous improvement.
3. Sample Inspection: Perform sample inspections and prepare detailed reports to guide decision-making and quality enhancements.
4. ISO 9001:2015 Compliance: Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure successful recertification.
5. Additional Responsibilities: Use hand tools for inspections, complete concession/reject notes, manage FAIRs and ECNs, collaborate with production, update drawings, provide technical support, manage documentation, calibrate measuring equipment, liaise with suppliers, and interpret technical drawings.
