Job summary

Wagstaff Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector for a precision manufacturing company in Ruddington. You will perform first-off, in-process, final and visual inspections of machined components against engineering drawings in a clean manufacturing environment.

You will measure with micrometers and calipers, maintain records, and support problem solving, corrective actions and internal audits with the wider Quality and Manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Able to read engineering drawings accurately.
• Experience using micrometers and calipers for inspection.
• Proficient in dimensional and visual inspection.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience with CMM/OGP or GD&T is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• First-off, in-process, final and visual inspection.
• Inspect machined components against drawings.
• Use micrometers, calipers, height gauges and similar tools.
• Identify and raise non-conformances.
• Support corrective actions and internal audits.

Job description

Salary: Up to £33,000 + 10% afternoon shift premium + 5% annual bonus

Location: Ruddington, Nottingham

Hours: Monday to Friday morning and afternoon shifts

Overtime: Saturday time and a half | Sunday / Bank Holidays double time

Wagstaff Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Quality Inspector for a well-established precision manufacturing business in Ruddington.

This is a hands-on inspection role within a clean manufacturing environment, inspecting machined components and working closely with the wider Quality and Manufacturing teams.

What you'll be doing

• First-off, in-process, final and visual inspection
• Inspecting machined components against engineering drawings
• Using micrometers, calipers, height gauges and other precision measuring equipment
• Identifying and raising non-conformances
• Supporting problem solving, corrective actions and internal audits
• Maintaining accurate quality and inspection records

What we're looking for

• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Practical experience using micrometers and calipers
• Dimensional and visual inspection experience
• Good attention to detail
• Experience with CMM, OGP, gauge pins or GD&T would be advantageous but is not essential.
